Record-Breaking Cargo Volumes and Strong Passenger Growth Drive MHT’s Best Year Since the Pandemic

[MANCHESTER, NH] – February 11, 2026 – MANCHESTER-BOSTON REGIONAL AIRPORT (“MHT”) is excited to announce a record-breaking cargo year and strong passenger growth in 2025.

In 2025, MHT experienced the highest cargo volumes the Airport has ever recorded. Cargo carriers Amazon Air, FedEx, and UPS processed over 238 million pounds of cargo, which is 4 million pounds more than the previous record set in 2023. This record performance underscores the Airport’s role in connecting households and businesses throughout the region and around the globe.

Additionally, over 1.38 million passengers flew in and out of MHT in 2025, which represents an almost 9% increase in passenger activity over 2024 and marks the best year since 2019. This increase in passenger traffic reflects a positive community response to the new carriers and routes that have entered the market. This renewed demand for air service will assist MHT in its efforts to bring new carriers and routes to the market.

“We are excited and very appreciative for the growth we experienced in 2025,” said Aviation Director Tom Malafronte, A.A.E. “In addition to a record-breaking cargo year, MHT welcomed over 100,000 additional passengers in 2025. We are grateful to our airline and cargo partners for their continued investment in the market, and we want to thank the community for supporting local businesses and choosing MHT.”

Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais said, “A strong regional airport supports economic growth, job creation, and quality of life. These record cargo numbers and increased passenger traffic demonstrate that Manchester remains a competitive place to live, work, and do business.”
