MHT Promotes Thomas J. Malafronte, A.A.E. to Deputy Airport Director

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is pleased to announce that Thomas J. Malafronte, A.A.E. has been promoted to Deputy Airport Director.  Mr. Malafronte has been employed at the airport for more than twenty-five years and has served in several managerial capacities; most recently as Assistant Airport Director-Air Service Development, Marketing, and Public Relations. 

In his new role, Malafronte will be responsible for the airport’s administrative and operational functions, including direct supervision of four Assistant Directors, Network Administrator, and Marketing and Public Relations Specialist.  He will also be involved with oversight of the airport’s contractual agreements for law enforcement, security, emergency response, parking, and custodial services. Mr. Malafronte replaces J. Brian O’Neill who served as Deputy Airport Director for the past eight years.

In making the announcement, Airport Director Mark Brewer praised Malafronte as “an aviation professional with broad knowledge of the industry and decades of experience at all levels of the organization.”  Brewer added that “Tom’s passion and enthusiasm for the airport and the community will most certainly serve him well in his new role.”

Manchester Airport Authority Chairman Marcel Mercier commented, “Tom is a true professional and I applaud the airport for selecting him for this important position.  Brian did a great job as Deputy Airport Director and I have full faith and confidence that Mark, Tom, and the team will continue to move the airport forward.”
