Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to Host Aviation Day 2025

[MANCHESTER, NH] – August 5, 2025 – Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) will host an Aviation Day celebration on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Passengers and the community are invited to visit MHT and check out the fun activities planned for the day.

Manchester TSA will be offering a unique “TSA Checkpoint Experience” designed to assist travelers—especially families, kids, and those new to flying — to become more familiar with the security screening process. Join a guided tour every half hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting at the TSA table by Bag Claim 3-5. It’s a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, and ease any travel anxieties in a friendly setting.

Visit our “Touch-A-Truck” exhibit in Short Term Parking Lot A to learn about some of the equipment that helps keep MHT running—from snow removal equipment and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles to the cargo containers that fill our cargo planes and more. Check out a student-built aircraft, the RV-12iS, a two-seat all-metal light sport aircraft completed by local students with the help of the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire. Careers in aviation require a lot of STEM knowledge—check out the STEM-MoBILE (STEM Mobile Biofabrication Integrated Lab Experience), a traveling lab from UNH Manchester bringing demonstrations, hands-on activities, and more.

Inside the Airport at Baggage Claim 3-5, learn from our local business partners and stakeholders about all the careers that make the Airport run. Enjoy interactive games and displays—including a paper airplane contest and our local Aviation Museum’s display on how to build an airplane. Learn about the amazing K9 teams who keep our Airport safe. Stop by Women in Aviation’s fun, interactive station where kids will have the chance to dress up in aviation career-themed costumes and learn about the many exciting jobs they could pursue in the world of aviation. Visit Bring Back the Trades (BBTT), a new addition this year, dedicated to promoting the skilled trades as essential and rewarding career paths. BBTT inspires and empowers the next generation of tradespeople across the country.

Explore the many tables for some exciting giveaways, including a chance to win two tickets on Breeze Airways and two tickets on Avelo Airlines from MHT to their respective destinations.* Participate in our paper airplane contest, grab some MHT swag, spin two different prize wheels for a chance to win, and visit displays from our partners to learn about job opportunities and how we work together to make the travel experience enjoyable and stress free.

Ready for a treat? Stop by the Alltown Fresh – Manchester table, where they will be handing out delicious and fresh cookies. Lactalis US Yogurt, the company behind popular yogurt brands such as siggi’s and Stonyfield Organic, will also be handing out yogurt samples and giveaway items. Then be sure to grab a bag of popcorn and a slushy, prepared by our guest experience experts, the Granite State Ambassadors.

“National Aviation Day was first established in 1939 by Franklin D. Roosevelt in honor of Orville Wright’s birthday,” said Aviation Director Tom Malafronte, A.A.E. “We host the Aviation Day celebration each year to honor and celebrate our industry’s rich history, share exciting career opportunities and to show our appreciation to the traveling public for supporting MHT. Please come out and visit us on August 19th. Enter to win some great prizes, meet some new friends and learn how we work together as one team to make MHT the best small hub Airport in the U.S.!”

*Full terms and conditions will be available at the event when entering the giveaway.
