Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to Host Aviation Day 2022

[MANCHESTER, NH] – August 2, 2022 – Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) will host an Aviation Day event on Friday, August 19, 2022. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Passengers and the community are invited to visit MHT and check out the fun activities planned for the day.
Visit our “Touch a Truck” exhibit in Lot A to learn about the different vehicles supporting operations at the Airport. Check out a student-built airplane, the RV-12iS, a two-seat all-metal light sport aircraft completed by students here in Manchester along with the help of the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire. Guests can also enjoy K9 demonstrations to learn how our very own MHT K9 Team protects the Airport.
Head inside to the pre-security area near Baggage Claim 3-5 for some exciting giveaways, including a chance to win two tickets on Spirit Airlines to the destination of your choice.* Participate in our paper airplane contest, get some MHT swag, and grab a cup of free coffee, compliments of Alltown Fresh. Interested in aviation as a hobby or a career? Visit displays from our partners and learn about job opportunities and how we all work together to make the Airport run. You can even enter to win a free discovery flight at local flight school National Flight Simulator.
“On National Aviation Day, we celebrate our industry’s history and share the exciting careers you can find in the world of aviation,” said Airport Director Ted Kitchens, A.A.E. “We are excited to come together once again to show the community what we do here at MHT.”
National Aviation Day was first established in 1939 by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in honor of Orville Wright’s birthday.
*Tickets are valid for one year from August 19, 2022. Both tickets must be used round-trip from MHT to any of our five destinations.
